START A SUPPER CLUB
For the latest issue of ALLTRUE'S magazine ALL GOOD THINGS, the seasonal guide for conscious living.
As we reconsider how we gather in each other’s homes, it’s easy to feel nostalgic for the dinner parties of years past. But entertaining in the formal sense can be a nerve-wracking affair: There’s the prep work, the cleaning (before and after), and the stress about the menu and the seating — to say nothing of the cooking itself...
May we humbly suggest a more communal — and dare we say, more fun — alternative? Consider the cookbook club. The idea is simple: One person hosts, and therefore earns the privilege of selecting a cookbook. Guests each pick a recipe from the book (more on that in a minute), and come together for a potluck-style spread, with an array of dishes that look and taste great together.
